　　撐著油紙傘，

　　umbrella unfurls

　　down the rainy lane

　　我希望逢著

　　longing for

　　一個(gè)丁香一樣地

　　a lilac like her

　　結(jié)著愁怨的姑娘。

　　sadness she’ll be

　　丁香一樣的顏色，

　　the color of lilac

　　丁香一樣的芬芳，

　　the scent of lilac

　　丁香一樣的憂愁，

　　with her sad look

　　在雨中哀怨，

　　She was in the rain

　　哀怨又彷徨;

　　wandering in vain

　　她彷徨在這寂寥的雨巷

　　strode down the lane

　　冷漠，凄清，又惆悵。

　　太息一般的眼光

　　so near yet so far

　　她飄過(guò)

　　that look in her eyes

　　像夢(mèng)一般地，

　　softly Passes by

　　像夢(mèng)一般地凄婉迷茫。

　　gone like the dreams

　　像夢(mèng)中飄過(guò)

　　misty but still feels

　　一枝丁香地，

　　drift across

　　我身旁飄過(guò)這女郎;

　　my lilac

　　她靜默地遠(yuǎn)了，遠(yuǎn)了，

　　girl who left not being seen

　　到了頹圮的籬墻，

　　vanished and gone

　　走盡這雨巷。

　　in the ruins

　　在雨的哀曲里，

　　end of the rainy lane

　　消了她的顏色，

　　Tears of the rain

　　散了她的芬芳，

　　took away her color

　　消散了，甚至她的

　　washed away her scent

　　太息般的眼光，

　　left only that look in her eyes
