　　撐著油紙傘，

　　umbrella unfurls

　　獨自彷徨在悠長、悠長

　　一個丁香一樣地

　　a lilac like her

　　結著愁怨的姑娘。

　　在雨中哀怨，

　　冷漠，凄清，又惆悵。

　　approached with out a sound

　　她靜默地走近

　　走近，又投出

　　And on approaching

　　太息一般的眼光

　　so near yet so far

　　她飄過

　　that look in her eyes

　　像夢一般地，

　　softly Passes by

　　像夢一般地凄婉迷茫。

　　gone like the dreams

　　像夢中飄過

　　misty but still feels

　　一枝丁香地，

　　drift across

　　我身旁飄過這女郎;

　　my lilac

　　她靜默地遠了，遠了，

　　girl who left not being seen

　　到了頹圮的籬墻，

　　vanished and gone

　　走盡這雨巷。

　　在雨的哀曲里，

　　end of the rainy lane

　　消了她的顏色，

　　Tears of the rain

　　散了她的芬芳，

　　took away her color

　　消散了，甚至她的

　　washed away her scent

　　太息般的眼光，

　　left only that look in her eyes
