When I was a child， my homesickness was a small stamp
Linking Mum at the other end and me this.
小時候，鄉(xiāng)愁是一枚小小的郵票，

【背景介紹】
余光中（1928—），祖籍福建永春，生于江蘇南京，當(dāng)代著名詩人和評論家。1946年考入廈門大學(xué)外文系。1947年入金陵大學(xué)外語系（后轉(zhuǎn)入廈門大學(xué)），1948年發(fā)表第一首詩作，1949年歲父母遷香港，次年赴臺，就讀于臺灣大學(xué)外文系。1953年，與覃子豪、鐘鼎文等共創(chuàng)“藍星”詩社。后赴美進修，獲美國愛荷華大學(xué)藝術(shù)碩士學(xué)位。
詩人的思鄉(xiāng)之愁不是直白地說出來的，而是通過聯(lián)想、想象，塑造了四幅生活藝術(shù)形象（郵票、船票、墳?zāi)埂⒑{），使之呈現(xiàn)在讀者眼前。作者把對母親、妻子、祖國的思念、眷念之情熔于一爐，表達出渴望親人團聚、國家統(tǒng)一的強烈愿望。
