memory用法：

　　1、表示“記憶（力）”，若指具體某人的記憶（力），通常為可數(shù)名詞，若指抽象意義的記憶（力），通常為不可數(shù)名詞。

　　例如：The boy has a good (bad) memory.

　　這孩子記憶力好（不好）。

　　Memory is a quality which is not highly developed in most animals.

　　記憶這種特性在大多數(shù)動物身上都不發(fā)達(dá)。

　　表示“對……的記憶”，一般用介詞for。

　　例如：John has a good memory for names.(faces,figures).

　　約翰對人的名字（面孔、數(shù)字）有很好的記憶力。

　　2、注意正確理解以下各句：

　　His name escaped my memory.

　　他的名字我記不起了。

　　If my memory serves me right/If my memory doesn't fail me，he is 55 years old this year.

　　如果我沒記錯的話，他今年55歲了。

　　3、用于 in memory of意為“為了紀(jì)念”（注意不用冠詞）

　　例如：They're going to erect a monument in memory of the dead.

　　他們打算樹碑紀(jì)念死者。

　　She set up the charitable trust in memory of her father.

　　她設(shè)立了慈善信托基金以紀(jì)念她的父親。
