people和person的區(qū)別：

　　1、people表示“人”，是一個(gè)只表示復(fù)數(shù)意義的可數(shù)名詞(注意不用詞尾-s)，可以說some people(一些人)，many people(許多人)等，但不能說a people或one people。

　　2、person表示“人”，是可數(shù)名詞，可以說a person (1個(gè)人)或three persons(3個(gè)人)等。不過像 persons這樣的復(fù)數(shù)形式通常被認(rèn)為是較文的正式說法，主要用于官方文件或通告等場(chǎng)合。

　　3、在通常情況下，person的復(fù)數(shù)一般都用people代之。如：

　　There was only one person there.那兒只有一個(gè)人。

　　There were many people there.那兒有許多人。

　　一般說來，除表示精確數(shù)目用persons外，要表示復(fù)數(shù)的人或大數(shù)目的人，通常都用people。

　　4、people除表示“人”外，還可表示“民族”，此時(shí)為可數(shù)名詞，其前可用不定冠詞，也可有復(fù)數(shù)形式。如：

　　The Chinese are a hard-working people.中國(guó)人是一個(gè)勤勞的民族。

　　The peoples of the world are against it.世界各國(guó)人民都反對(duì)它。
