（1）Thank sb. for doing sth. 意為“因…而感謝某人”，相當于Thanks for doing sth. 原句=Thanks for telling me about the Mid-Autumn Festival.此句型中的for為介詞，表示原因，后接名詞、代詞的賓格或動名詞作賓語。例如：

Thank you for helping me.謝謝你的幫助。

Thank you for your help. 謝謝你幫助了我。

（2）tell sb. about sth. 意為“告訴某人關(guān)于某事的情況”，about為介詞，意為“關(guān)于”。例如：

Can you tell us about your school?你能告訴我們關(guān)于你們學校的情況嗎？
